Home run with first tryNatural redhead going white/gray, especially around my face, and makes me look older than I feel. Scared about getting a brassy, fake-looking bizarre red color, and even more scared to do it myself. It was a little harder than I thought it would be, and honestly I have no idea what the back of my head looked like at any point. Some instructions were a bit vague for someone like me who has no idea how this works, but I muddled through. I have A LOT of hair that is thick and long, so the sectioning thing was difficult to maintain. For about 2 days after, I was wondering if I had made a huge mistake, but on day 3 and after washing it a few more times, my hair is absolutely fabulous. It is not one flat color but instead has lots of dimension. It is shiny and healthy looking, not fried and crunchy. I don't yet know how the root camo spray will cover new growth, but my experience so far indicates it will be good. For a first-time-do-it-yourselfer and purchasing a mystery color on-line product, this could have been a disaster. It wasn't - I'm thrilled and excited to continue.
